Save Time with the Device Health Indicator

With the GoldStar CMS telematics solution, you’ll never wonder if your vehicles are properly connected. The Device Health Indicator is a built-in monitor that tells you, at a glance, if the car’s battery is getting low, if the GPS tracking signal is being affected, or if the vehicle is simply out of cell phone range.

To view status, go to the map view and click on a vehicle, you’ll see three indicators showing you exactly what’s going on with your asset tracking device:

  • Battery – If it’s showing as “poor”, the car battery may need to be replaced in order to continue powering the GPS device.
  • Cell Signal – Devices send and receive info via cell networks, so a good signal is required. A bad signal could mean they are in an area where cell service is weak.
  • GPS signal – This shows that the installation of your device was done correctly and if it is working properly (connecting to GPS satellites).
